social secretries meeting on 10th march 2011
decided to organise an italian night on the 1st or 2nd week in april
louise will ask Angie when it would be ok to do it – and tell kim so she can put it on the poster .
kim will make poster: date time (4.00- 600) cost £2.50 briing your own drink .
lucy will make invitations for people to take home .
michelle will make a sign up sheet for reception .
shawn will ask steve c if he has any italian music .
lucy will find out what staff can stay back
michelle will buy the pizza once has people £2.50

Meeting of Social Committee
Meeting of Social Committee - Thursday 25th February
Sue S, Martin, Daniel, Doretta, Alex and Maddy attended the meeting. They discussed:
Ideas for lunchtime Social Activites
Going out for lunches
Cooking workshop
Music at lunchtime
Karaoke
Just dance
The Armstrong room could become a quiet room where you could listen to relaxing music
Evening Activities
Massage (workshops or sessions)
Bowling (go out or play on the wii)
Go out for a drink
Get a Curry/chinese
Go out for a meal or have a take away
Sportactivites
Swimming at Crown Pool
Bingo
Ways of collecting the opinions of other clients abut social activities

Meeting of Client Commitee 22/ February 2011
The meeting was about collecting ideas from members on what the group should do.
We discussed:
LUNCH TIME ACTIVITIES
At the moment there is the internet and WII-some clients dont use the WII because they dont know how to use it.
Brett suggested someone could show people how to use the WII up, and make some instructions on how to use it with pictures.
Katie thought once a month trips out, for lunch would be a good thing.
It was suggested we could have cooing workshops at lunchtime to cook snacks.
Maddy suggested the idea of having positions for client volunteers who were willing to show other clients how to use technology {Wii, computers, microwave etc.} at lunch time
EVENING ACTIVITIES
The group thought that evening activities could be run once a fortnight or once a month.
Brett mentioned the problem of people getting in, in the evening.
Ideas for activities included Bowling, Cinema, Swimming, Pub meals, Drinks in the pub, Centre based activities such as watching DVDs {with popcorn} playing board games {with marshmellows n hot choc},and getting in a take away.

A survey could be done and an ideas box created where people could post ther ideas for socil activities.
